Names, Nations, and the New Testament

Hello! And welcome to the page for my book: Names, Nations, and the New Testament. This book has been a work in progress for a few years now, so many in fact that I got the year mixed up! But since that fall when I first read Ezekiel 38, which then led me to Acts 2, and finally “discovered” Genesis 10, I have arrived at a solid draft.

Yeah, that might see like a bit of a let-down. But it is actually a huge accomplishment for me. This is not the first book I have tried to write, though I have quite a collection of short stories to my name. But the first book was on creation science and apologetics, which many others have written on and did so much better than I could have, in my opinion. I did not get very far on that one, only to a general outline.

But I saw a need for a book on Babel and the world, something that showed the path of mankind from Eden, to the Ark, to Babel, and into all the world. Something that showed that we were all brothers and sisters of one blood, that people are related and not evolved, that people are loved by a Savior. Many have in the past written sundry books that merely grazed the subject, and not even in a complete manner. I found these lacking in light of such a great need facing our world today. Thus, with my love for history, writing, and Scripture in hand, I began this book.

First it exchanged names like the Babel Project and the Language project, among others, but no more! Now my title is Names, Nations, and the New Testament. My book is coming shortly! The goal is to have it done and published by the beginning of next year, Lord willing. My prayer is that it will be a blessing and encouragement to others, and maybe just an interesting read for some. (Well, I think a 300+ page research book is interesting. There are pictures!)

If you are curious for more information, check out some of the posts on this blog that give mini updates on some of the chapters I wrote. The path is heading somewhere. The road is ahead of me. I see the light at the end! I can touch it! Hopefully, so will you, either in print format or through your digital device.

Here’s to writing and following callings! Blessings to you and yours,

~Rose
